Literature Text

A field full of flowers,
Out in the sun.
"Catch me if you can!"
You'll shout as you run.

We're too old for games,
Or so people say.
Well, they can keep talking,
But we will still play.

A field full of flowers,
'Neath cloudless blue sky.
We'll chase some stray butterflies,
Fluttering by.

We'll grab and we'll grope,
We'll jump and we'll leap.
We'll know we won't catch them;
Just land in a heap.

A field full of flowers,
Where dusk's setting in,
But when the sun rises,
We'll come back again.

This was a lot of fun to write - thanks to Cattereia for setting a fun theme!
