Literature Text

When you have nobody,
You are never lonely.
How can someone miss,
What they have never known?

Stormclouds in the distance.
Soon it's gonna rain.
I let it wash over me,
And drain away my pain.

With no heart, no soul,
And no life, I've grown cold.
I'm shut off and subdued,
And far away from you.

In a world of hatred,
My story's commonplace.
I'm just another loner,
Another nameless face.

I don't know why I'm talking.
You don't care anyway.
Society won't listen,
To what I have to say.
The 'you' in the third verse is not a specific person, it's the reader. The distance is metaphorical, not physical :p
